Re: $400-$800 hand. Also my most amazing poker story ever.
no way, you're both wrong.
Keep in mind that KC the maniac is in every hand and that every hand is usually played out 2 or 3 way. My seat is incredibly good. Also, I am not worried about the other players being tricky and playing better than me. I feel I play on at least she same level in fixed limit holdem. |

By staying put, the people on 18Keel's left will have position on both KC and the guy who appears to be playing scared money.

Re: $400-$800 hand. Also my most amazing poker story ever.
Well played and very entertaining to read.
The key for this play is obviously you know exactly what KC is holding so a raise with 5-8 suited is a good raise. I am surprised that none of the other players attempted to call your raise, but it works out great for you that they did not. This post reminds me of a hand played in Shut Up and Deal where a maniac and a pro play HU in 7 card stud and the maniac flips all his cards over and goes on a raising streak with the pro who has Aces in the hole, but the maniac spikes two pair on 6th street to beat the aces that did not improve. Re: $400-$800 hand. Also my most amazing poker story ever.
Wow, I can't believe all the negative feedback you've been getting. Let's state a few facts:
1- You know he has 63o 2- You have 85s- we can all agree that this a much better hand. 3- You have the button, SB and BB left to act. 4- Is a raise not in order here? Anybody? Please? Even if God is in the bb? I suspect that most of the "advice" has been coming from 15/30 players. I play 60/120 to 100/200 on a regular basis (profiatably) and I play this hand exactly the same way. Congratulations on seeing an opportunity and pouncing on it, even though you weren't quite comfortable at that limit. Afterall, the reason you sat there is because you had position to exploit a bad (or loose) player, and you had that opportunity, and you took advantage of it. I would call it good poker. |
