Default So how did the CFB gods treat your picks today?

There were lots of big games today and several upsets. Curious as to how everyone did.

My results: Currently 3-1 (4-1 looking likely with the over 47.5 in the Florida/LSU Game.

As an amusing sidebar, I was considering betting Temple +10.5 over Pittsburgh, but betting on cupcakes like Temple, Duke, and Baylor makes me nervous barring stupid pointspreads. Oh well, Im sure if I'dve bet the game, Pitt wouldve won by 60 just to teach me not to bet on cellardwellars .

Wins:
Cal +7 over USC (just barely squeaked by on this one)

South Carolina/Ole Miss over 41 (Made this one comfortably, although Ole Miss did much better than I expected.)

Tennessee +12.5 over UGA (*Cheers for great comeback performances after getting embarrased in a conference game *)

Loss:

Purdue -10 over Penn State (Purdue really let me down. PSU hasnt been playing well and Purdue had been destroying people. Oh well, 3-1 and probably 4-1 is a good week)

Hoping all your picks came home.

I got crushed. When the general public wins I lose and the general public is having a hayday right now.
Everyone seemed to have Cal, Okie, Ten, and Ok State. Okie State was my disaster of the day, I got Colorado +7, the lines goes to 3.5 at kickoff, who isn't going to grab +7 when a line is 3.5, anyway it didn't work out so well.

How did anyone pick Tenn?

I haven't followed much College FB, but I've seen enough of Tenn to know that they were lucky to be 3-1 going into today.

Hey, I had them. Georgia hadn't been playing that well either and two teams roughly equivalent in talent shouldn't have a 13 point spread

That'll teach me to bet blind.

I figured Tenn could lose by 14 to anyone in the country, including the eleven fattest people on this forum.
(Only seen them twice though)

The reasons I bet Tennessee were two fold:

1) UGA's offensive production has been shoddy every game but one (and I suspected there was going to be too much swagger after last weeks win).

2)I didnt think there was any way that Tenn would get blown out two weeks in a row in conference simply because their coach is too good and they have too much talent. I thought they would lose, but 14 looked a little too much against a team whose offense had been so inconsistent.

Thanks guys... I really should ask next time I fancy betting blind.

Guess I was a bit tilty, if you want a baseball pick right now, ask me what I've bet and bet the opposite

My only saviour of the day came in the form of Backe who was my cheapo pitcher in the fantasy league (And I have two HOU futures that are now worth some $$$$)

Oh well, so much for that LSU/Florida over bet. Missed it by a touchdown. So, 3-2 for the week. I'll take 3-2 every week and be happy with it.

I agree. I have ins with a lot of bookies and I always find out who is betting what, all the books I spoke with were getting heavy Ten action. It's good to poll the books, find out where the public is going and bet the other way although the past few weeks that system has not been working very well.
