Just so I don't disappoint, I'm not giving away any money. I was merely trying to attract views and responses.
Sorry for any confusion. Burno |

Relax. I haven't had a lot of luck getting comments on hands, so I tried an attention grabbing approach.
Apparently no one was amused. Or intrigued by the hand. |

Or perhaps your ability to raise $9.50 into a $5.50 pot ($6 with your $0.50 to call) in a pot limit game has simply left everyone in awe.
OK, on a serious note, was this supposed to be an NL hand? |

Oops, thanks for pointing that out.
Must be NL. You play it any differently? |

Re: Earn $10! PL25 56s button combo flop.
I'll ignore all the other stuff and try to give you some insight.
Basically, this is just overall bad play. I personally think that playing low suited connecters is a very advanced strategy and at the $25 NL level, it is best left to the guys on the WPT. But you got several callers and you were on the button, so if you were going to call with this, this is an ok time to do it, I think. The flop comes with 2 hearts, and here is where your play gets ugly. You make a double pot sized bet with essentially nothing. You have 3 callers ahead of you and there's no reason to think that one of them doesn't have a much better flush draw than you. Furthermore I would think it's very likely that at least one of them already has you beat. So then let's call the $10 raise a bluff. It's debatably a semi-bluff I suppose, but when you get a call, it's time to give up the bluffing. Instead you push on the turn when a blank comes. So, what happened? My guess is you got called, a non heart fell, and you lost? |

Burno, you're basically asking us whether a complete bluff is good play...
Without any reads, probably not. BTW, whats your name on Party? I'll make sure to join your table next time. |

Re: Earn $10! PL25 56s button combo flop.
A pair and a flush draw is in absolutely no way a "complete bluff".
But yea, there's no way we can judge original poster's fold equity when we weren't at the table. |
