Ah, you missed the fact that the 2 guys in my scenario ARE full time poker players already, they just don't have an unlimited BR like *cough* some people, this would be following 2 players on their dream shot. Mind you these 2 players WILL eventually get there on their own...

And comparing CPS to poker is like comparing my whizz to fine wines.

i do agree with elgrande that a network would probably not choose you for their television series if they bought your idea. maybe you can sell the rights? i am intrigued however... i think that people not so familiar with poker are interested in seeing the underdog come through. if they fall in love with the characters theyll want to see them win at least 1 tournament. the problem with your idea is that if a network does decide to br some players, they have no guarantee that any of them will ever win a tournament, which makes bad tv.

i think your best bet would be hire a cameraman to tape you and your friend playing in tournaments with some interesting dialog on the side to have the audience fall in love with you. even if the buyin is very small for each tournament, if done well, and you win an event... i think its very possible that a network might buy your tape.

another point was brought up saying that you may not be able to record in a casino

lots of rocks in the way of this one, but i do like the idea and think it has possibilities... good luck.
