Make it easy on yourself, play the turn the Limon way!

The first question to ask yourself is, is this player Greek? Or Persian? Or any one of the many 'short & hairies' that populate the cardroom? If so, look at your cards, if you have a pair or at least Queen high, raise all in, beat your chest and shout "I am more Greek!" Your fellow greek will be forced to call out of pride, my money is on your hand.

If on the other hand he is not Greek, you will call out "Isn't that John Vorhaus signing copies of "Killer Poker" at the 3-6 table?" When your opponent looks away, scoop up his cards and look at them. Make your play from there.

Really, Limey, you're better than this.

shocking. you completely miss the point.

how can you post something like this, and then criticize (and personally attack) me for being harsh on someone else?

It looks to me like he doesn't have a house: funny looking bet if he does, as GoG said. He also doesn't have a single 8 in his hand, based on limon's description of the player. So he most likely has a pair in his hand and is none too sure of what's going on here.

Limon's play so far is very consistent with a pocket pair that flopped a set, so it might be time to put this scared opponent to the test.

So what's the best play? Call now and bet the river, or check-raise now?

Have I got this one right?

Guy.

when ekpg bets the turn there is no way in hell he just filled up..a check raise takes this down for me 100% of the time. the 8 was the perfect card for me and i missed it.
