Anyone who has been humbled by the test on All Look Same knows this can be a little dangerous.

[/ QUOTE ]

that test is hilarious. also humbling, although i did above-average.

i do find the "racial/ethnic" stereotypes of players amusing, tho. just watch them play for a round or two.

i do reserve the right to continue stereotyping young guys with oakley sunglasses and baseball hats who bluff it up on J8o. or people who gamble it up with a straddle bet and then fold.

2) I should really be nicer to new posters.

You don't know how many posts I've written, pressed 'continue' then deleted before posting because I thought, "bisonbison will probably rip me a new one for this."

Here, the Vietnamese are the wildest.

[/ QUOTE ]
I was playing 3/6 at the Desert Diamond the other night. A Vietnamese woman (named 'Shin') walked up the table and everybody groaned. Long story short she was seated to my right and . . .
. . . anytime she was in a hand and I wasn't she insisted on showing me her cards.*
. . . anytime I was in a hand and she wasn't she insisted on petting me for "luck."
. . . anytime I raised her she looked like she was trying to remember her recipe for human spleen soup.

*After too many of the petting incidents I tried to convey as much of her hand to the rest of the table as possible through my "anti-poker-face."

I'm sure she mucked all large pairs pre-flop because she loved nothing more than taking down a pot with horrible two pairs and three-gapped straights. I did, however, see her go on four and five hand rushes grabbing kill pots with the always powerful 49o and J2s.

flop comes Kd Td xc. i look down and see Ad Qd. sweet jesus, i've got four to a royal! i bet. it comes back around 3-bet. i cap. all call. most of the table sees the turn and theres a metric fuckton of chips in the middle. turn is the 3d. i briefly consider the check-raise but instead bet and hope to get raised. doesn't happen. river is the 17 of purple horseshoes and i bet and get callers. i table my hand and say "just the nuts". several union contractors were called in to deliver the pot to me. "SERVICE!"

[/ QUOTE ]

These two phrases made me bruise my spleed with laughter. Thank you for bestowing this gift upon the world.
