Nice turn check, but when he bets big and you call he most know something is up. I'd probably make a smallish lead out bet on the river. The pot is about $550, I'd bet out $150 maybe. This way you value bet, and you also might induce a bluff (though it's unlikely). I just noticed the board pairs on the river, but there is no way your opponent is betting a set like that on the turn so I would not worry.

Like the check on the turn, but I hate the call there. Hes only gonna bluff again if something that looks scary falls (if he is bluffing), he might call with the 2nd or 3rd highest flush, or he might be semi-bluffing with a set.

I guess a check call on the river is correct.

I agree with Bruiser that you should lead out on the river....did you check the river because you thought he might have a set or because you thought he might bluff at the river?....for me, it's tough to put opponent on a set and I think he might even put you on a set....it's hard for me to think he'd bluff at the river on such a scary board....but who knows....

I dont get the check. Are you looking for a check raise--a good player will check right behind you or (probably not with this community) represent a boat, then what do you do. I would bet and bet as big as I could and expect a call.

me checking the river was very dumb. i decided to check because i combined two thoughts that should be combined: he possibly would bluff, and i was afraid of betting raised (incorrectly)
