Default The Zoo

Well it appears this forum was on a quest to steal the nickname from the internet forum, and I'd say that goal has pretty much been accomplished in the last 24 hours.

As an aside, what are the highest stakes scrabble games in the world? Has anyone ever played, say, $10k a game and $100 a point?

I recently discovered that backgammon was played for money and there were websites for it, the fact that there are championships and money games for scrabble as well as programs to cheat at it has come as a surprise and the main thing I have learened on these threads.

What next twister world championships, operation (do you have that in the states), buckaroo the possibilities for board game championships are endless.

THE 2004 OPERATION CHAMPIONSHIPS
"It takes a steady hand..."

See the great "plastic surgeons" from all over the world compete for a prize pool in excess of $100! All the best of the best will be there, including defending champion timmy "knee-bone" simpson, last year's runner-up petey "hip-bone" johnson, and crowd favorite tommy "posterior tibia-fibula" spalding.

The hippocratic oath will be IN THE HOUSE! If you miss this titanic clash you'll regret it for years! MANY WILL SCRUB UP: ONLY ONE WILL REMAIN STANDING!

Note: as with previous years all participants will have their urine tested for any signs of beta blockers and other banned performance enhancers.

What are these websites? I'd be interested in this as I am a pretty good backgammon player and have had some very good success in low stakes backgammon games.

Take a look/search in the Other Gambling forum there has been a lot of discussion there about the sites out there and the merits of each.
