This is obviously another "compensation" bonus for the mess they made yesterday. It is account specific.

So lets review:

If you didn't do the MATCHBONUSEP bonus you got $100 for HOTSEP (open to all)

If you did the MATCHBONUSEP bonus you got $50 HOTSEP plus $100 EPCOMPREL

(I know some of you had slightly different results)

So was the extra $50 worth it?
for all the emails you may have sent yesterday?
for all the hands you played on Tuesday that didn't count towards any bonus?
for all the time you spent posting here yesterday instead of playing poker?
for all the aggravation?

I don't think anyone will be able to keep this bonus if they deposit for it. Empire will probably change their minds and take it back tommorrow.

Has anyone tested this to actually see if it's account-specific??

I didn't do the "MATCH" bonus code, but I'm interested in this new one... but I don't want to waste time cashing out to neteller and re-depositing if it won't work for me...

Thanks!

LOL

Maybe they just want everyone to deposit $1000 which they will then steal from us.

Yes, I'm fine with that solution.

If you had more than $50 worth of aggravation, I feel for you. I tried the bonus, played hands that I would have played anyway and sent 1 email stating that the apology actually costs me money. I realize that it takes a company a lot longer than an individual to come up with a decision and implement it. The initial offer of applying the recent deposit to the HOTSEP bonus and eliminating the hand requirement is probably the result of an individual decision that was not properly thought through.

The people who sent an email and got upset when they didn't get an answer within 4 hours to such a widespread problem aren't being realistic. It is a decision that might cost $1 million or more. Meetings have to be scheduled with CEO's and CFO's etc.

The company made a mistake. I don't know how many employees they have, but occasionally they will make mistakes that get a broad audience like this one that allowed a bunch of people to try to get a bonus that was never intended for them. They now are making an offer of an additional bonus (assuming this is specifically for people who tried the MATCHBONUSEP code) + the $50.

I think continuing to bash a company that has done its best to retify a simple mistake is wrong. I think the 'hate Empire' frenzy will fade away if this offer is what it seems. I, for one, am willing to accept an apology and bit of extra compensation and move on with my day.

Thanks for listening

1. yes, if by 'worth it' you mean a free $50 for doing something I was going to do anyway.
2. zero.
3. again zero.
4. not any more than normal.
5. none.

I still got free money..maybe not as much as I had expected to, but it's still free. I'm pretty satisfied with that
