Re: playing poker behind university firewall?
[ QUOTE ]
i just got internet in my dorm room in the UK, and a whole bunch of programs i usually use wont connect to the internet. the most notable ones are outlook, all poker programs, irc, kazaa and limewire. aim didnt work either, but it has an "auto search for open ports" button that fixed the problem. i cant believe that my univeristy system would close all the ports that these programs need. is this possible? any one else have a similar problem? suggestions? i put an email into the IT department, but no reply yet. [/ QUOTE ] If they don't help out get internet access elsewhere if this is possible. |

Re: playing poker behind university firewall?
Pokerroom doesnt use port 80 but something like port 2001. I am not sure about pacific but i cant use it behind my firewall, it just loads tp 90% and then stops. I am very much in the same situation so if you find any solution please keep me updated and i will do the same for you.

Re: playing poker behind university firewall?
I can get you into Pokerstars if you wish. You have to modify the user.ini file. If you want to know how, let me know.
