The MP raiser had the same hand I did and the cold caller behind us checked 3 aces on the flop.

The opening raiser was very aggressive and seemed to play pretty poorly post flop. He could have hands like A5o or Q9s, so I thought I could likely get heads up with position. As soon as the tight player behind me called 3 bets cold I was sure he had a big pair so I checked the flop probably planning to call 1 time and give up.
