Betty, when you call me, you can call me down.
This table has been tight and passive for about three orbits. Button plays any ace, calls too much postflop, and will most likely call down a raise if s/he bets. BB has folded preflop for three orbits. Same read for CO; folds often preflop, haven't seen him/her in a hand yet.

I'm responding cuz' I like your post title.
Three betting this flop seems like it does no good. The button won't fold and you're probably drawing to six outs at best vs the checkraise from a tight player. |

BB has folded preflop for three orbits. [/ QUOTE ] I'd probably call the flop raise, check/call the turn and check/fold the river unimproved with this read. Even if I thought BB was loose, I still probably don't 3-bet the flop in this situation. But, I suck at 2/4, so take this with a grain of salt. |

On the river, are you really expecting the BB to lay down his Qx?

Re: Betty, when you call me, you can call me down.
Is it unreasonable to believe that a tight player would do that?

If he's made it that far w/ Qx, he's not tight.

If he's made it that far w/ Qx, he's not tight. [/ QUOTE ] I don't know if I agree that he's not tight, since a decent player certainly could have called in the BB with most Qxs hands. However, what is most important here is that there is likely no more than a 1-2% chance that BB is going to lay down a Q here on the river, especially since there are no overcards on the board. |
