Interesting KK hand
Tournament 100+9 buyin 108 Players pays to top 10.
Tight-Passive Table, BB is T1000, around 28 left. Relevant Stack Sizes Hero is Button with T40 000 Villain is BB with T85 000(Chip Leader) and has been seeing alot of flops and likes betting into it if first to act. I get dealt red Kings on the button and make it 3500 to go. SB calls and BB calls. Flop is: K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]10[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I make top set but flop looks really ugly. SB checks, BB bets T8000, I raise to T20 000, SB folds, BB calls. Turn is 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] He pushes What do I do now? Do I have any folding equity here? After committing over half my stack to this pot, Is this an automatic call and hoping the board pairs on the river? Based on my read of him he also might play two pair this way, since I have seen him slow play monsters earlier. |

Re: Interesting KK hand
It's costing you 16500 to win 67000. You are getting 4 to 1 on your money. Worst case scenario is that he has AJ, giving you 10 outs to the full house or 3.4 to 1 odds. You have to call. There is no sense folding this when you are so far from the money, especially since he may be on a range of hands, some of which you beat like two pair.
My advice is to push on the flop when he bets into you. |

Do I have any folding equity here? [/ QUOTE ] No you are calling not betting, I think you mean am I pot commited. I would say with 16.5 BBs no, but you have a large portion of your stack in the pot. By all means you have to push this flop, You can't let another card come off with this flop. So either fold or push this flop. Even more since this guy seems tricky, and likes to fire with first to act. |
