Default LCD vs CRT

I was wondering who prefers what. I can get a 21' CRT monitor with 1600x1200 capability for $150.

Or I could spend $700-800 and get an LCD.

I have heard that LCD's are easier on the eyes. Is there truth in that?

Is the CRT sufficient to get the job done?

I bought a CRT a few weeks or so ago after a fiasco with Dell's 2001fp. I used it for 2 days before deciding to just go out and buy another LCD. I've had LCD's/laptops for a while and had forgotten just how f'cking big they are, the picture was generally poor too.

I have a 19" Starlogic CRT monitor(a cheapie)that I got new from OfficeMax for $150 on sale. It has up to 1600x1200 resolution and although it isn't the best thats out there(CRT or LCD), it does the job for me right now until I can afford the Dell 2100.
