Default Bubbleboy

Dirtrancher bubbles. 145th, pays 135.

Hand of shame: Dirtrancher has $16k and is UTG. blinds are 1500-3000. Dirt moves in and gets called by AK.

S h i t.

Default OUT at 150th

Had approximately 16k left. Blinds 1500/3000. In the small blind, with no callers ahead of me, I pushed with K9-s to steal. BB who is around 50k calls with A-10o. Hits 10 and then ace. Out at 150th. Happy to make it as far as I did. While it was a suspect play and i might have been able to make the money if i folded and weathered things out, happy to make it as far as i did. Would anyone else have pushed here?

Avr stack is about 30k at this time I believe.

Great minds think alike. LOL. Thought more about the play and ran the odds this morning. We were both favorites against a random hand of one opponent. Chances of our opponent having an ace, a pocket pair, or a king with a higher kicker were not very good.

Given the tourney payout structure and my interest in trying to move up the ladder, I feel better about the move and would make the same move again under similar circumstances. Personally, I would rather gamble to increase my stack size and increase my chances of a larger, more meaningful payout then limp into a small payout. (Those finnishing in the 100-135 range only made a net profit of $182.) Thanks for your post. Regardless of the result, I had a great time yesterday. Fun tournament. Great competition.
