Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 3 folds, Hero calls, MP3 raises, CO (steve) calls, 1 fold, SB calls, BB calls, Hero calls. Final Pot: 15.50 BB Main Pot: 15.50 BB, between Hero and steve. Results below: Hero has 4c Ac (two pair, aces and fours). steve has 6d Ad (two pair, aces and sixes). Outcome: steve wins 15.50 BB. My analysis; 1) I made an AWFUL call here. If i had the button, or a few callers in front of me, then maybe ok. But a terrible call here. I was getting impatient, made a bad call, got a good flop, and got myself into trouble. 2) one he hit his two pair, i think he played way too passively. exactly what does he need to cap the turn, and re-raise the river? Thoughts.... Anything else? |

Preflop is bad, open-limping in MP2 is not good. This is a spot where I'd either be open-raising or folding.
Postflop I think you played it fine. Your friend's preflop call is a whole lot worse than yours though. Cold-calling with A6s suited?? Not good. I would cap the turn, but not raise the river. If I capped the turn and you led into me again, I think raising would be overboard. EDIT: Didn't read what the friend had first time around. |
