I was planning on check raising the turn until the 7 came

SB checks, <font color="CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="CC3333">CO raises</font>, SB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="blue">(2 players)</font>

I wouldn't have been too scared of 99. If the CO was the first to act PF with 99, usually he will raise.

Regardless, I don't like the fancy play. You should cap the flop, and lead on the turn. If you have the best of it, fancy plays cost bets. If you are behind, fancy plays cost you information. Just play straight and bet it.
