Re: How much is PlayerView worth to you?
[ QUOTE ]
There is no way I could play as many tables or play them as effectively without playerview. I would pay hundreds if not thousands for the program. -SmileyEH [/ QUOTE ] One of the few intelligent things I've read in this post, and it's dead on. |

Re: How much is PlayerView worth to you?
I'm not much of a user of playerview or GT+, but could someone explain the advantages of the now-comercial playerview? What are the advantages that justify the cost? From my limited experience, I've prefered GT+ as it supports sites other than party.

Re: How much is PlayerView worth to you?
If I'm not mistaken, GT+ is in its own window right? I've never used GT+ for that reason, plus I started with PV. I don’t want to have 4 extra windows open if I don’t have to. The simplicity and immediacy of the information that PV offers is valuable. When I first saw the price of PT I was put off too, but most everyone agrees that PT is worth more than $55, I think the same applies to PV here. Yes, you may be able to get the same info from GT+, but the extra hassle of switching windows each time you want to check out the stats is a major pain in the ass when trying to make quick decisions on 3 or 4 tables at the same time.

Fair enough, then I guess I would be interested in what the differences are then also.

Re: How much is PlayerView worth to you?
Maybe it will when no one pays for it.
Sure its a nice program, but for the same price tag as PT, it has absolutely nowhere near the functionality or complexity. Good luck to the author, but I hope he's not trying to make a living with this. |

[/ QUOTE ] 2 main differences I see is that you have to add a 'tracker' to each window, but I switch rooms infrequently enough that this does not bother me at all. It also doesn't show cards from the previous round (which you can get by like 3 clicks), but thats annoying. |

Re: How much is PlayerView worth to you?
Can you use multiple databases in GT+?
What is the www of PV? I think overcharging the software would make you less money in the long run because every one whit some programming knowledge will start to make there own program and you would be out of business. So my advice is to keep it cheap if you want to survive whit it. Then make some really good upgrades that are unique for PV and take an extra 10$ for that upgrade. BTW If you take out to much people will be more willing to crack the software. But what do I know OO one more thin don’t you pay 50$ for PT? If you do 50$ for PV is yeast plain stupid PT has a shitload more work behind it than PV does. //F |
