Re: Is there anywhere to play in WA
Speaking of the Hooters Casino, anybody have any directions? I googled it, but couldn't find anything. I'm heading up to WSU for the game this weekend with some buddies, but I'm staying at Gonzaga. I could definitely get them to go to the Hooters Casino, but probably not any other cardroom.

Re: Is there anywhere to play in WA
I moved from Spokane a few months ago and here is what it looked like just before I left:
Northern Quest spreads 1/2, 2/4, 3/6, 4/8 & 2-10 spread often with a typical 10-20 MW and a 10-25 on Fridays. They offer Omaha and stud but a game rarely materializes. Play is fairly splashy and loose with only a few talented players. The 10-20 players have all been playing together for the last 30 years or so. They have around 10 tables making them the biggest room in town and daily tournys at 10:30am, AND are the only casino open 24 hours on the weekends (WA state requires all cardrooms to close 4 hours each night). Big Daddy's: Decent games but I never played here much because it was Bad Beat Central because of all the South Hill rich morons that don't know when to fold and hold. 4 tables. Lilac Lanes: 2-10 spread, 5-25 spread sometimes, and a weak 1-5 spread. The action is lush and I always found players call to the river then fold when they miss their perceived draws. Good action and usually fills up in the evenings. 4 tables. Ringos: Some pretty loose action, give-aways, and decent tournament structure. Have they closed down yet though? hehe. 6 tables or so. Players and Spectators: 4-5 tables, decent mid-limit action a while ago but seemed to take a huge hit when Ringos and the Hooters Casinos opened. Hooters: I'll give you a pair of reasons to go there.... okay, bad humor. They offer a few intersting spread games (such as a 3-12 spread where betting is done only in $3 incriments). This was a decent room full of drunken fish staring at girls. (Incidentally Hooters has the best BJ table options, IMO in the city). As for directions, take I-90 east to the Sullivan exit, turn left (north) across the freeway, turn Right (back east) onto Indiana and you'll run right into it. Aces Casino: Just relocated when I moved but they used to have some good action when they were located in the Valley. Occasionally they would have a high-hand or other giveaways, but those tend to expire and grow stale. Did the Silver Eagle (and/or Spokane Tribe's other casino) really close up in Cheweleah? |

Did the Silver Eagle (and/or Spokane Tribe's other casino) really close up in Cheweleah? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, it did. Actually it is the Double Eagle. Some dispute with the Spokane Tribe over the slot machines. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/...no_Closed.html Your room reviews are pretty much right on. Aces Casino moved up north just outside the city limits to Francis and Division and as far as I know they don't have a poker room yet. |
