Re: 25PL - Tough AA Hand
[ QUOTE ]
In any case, your hand is quite weak here. Just a pair, no heart and you want to push against a raise??? You're 57% against a pair with flush draw, and a dog to 2 pair or a set. Against a flush, you're destroyed. You'd have to believe that you're against the pair/flush-draw(or worse hands) the vast majority of the time to push here - and that's still a small edge. If he has the flush even 15% of the time, that's enough to make it a losing play, especially if he has 2pair/set some of the other 85%. Give some credit for the raise. Fold or else follow orange's advice. [/ QUOTE ] Exactly, push here is DEFINATELY -EV, your best case scenario is pair + flush draw, add in the made sets, flushes, and two pairs, and you are a dog pushing here. Calling and pushing non heart turn is better, but I still think folding is the best option. |

Re: 25PL - Tough AA Hand
This is PL 25 we are talking. I do not fold AA here.

Re: 25PL - Tough AA Hand
No way in hell I'm folding here. I go with orange's line.

Re: 25PL - Tough AA Hand
This (orange's line) is the line I thought would be suggested--calling then pushing a non-heart turn. Folding crossed my mind, but there were too many hands I could see him (esp. with such a high agg. factor) raising with that I was ahead of, either slightly (AK with one heart) or a long way (QQ or JJ)--though I think he'd have folded the latter to my push).
Players with that high an aggression factor and also a low WTS% tend to bet or raise the flop with marginal hands and slowplay their good hands (in my 25PL experience, anyway)--so I felt justified in reasoning that he probably didn't have the flush. |

How about calling, then re-evaluating the turn? I usually push a blank turn hard [/ QUOTE ] |
