ez fold, way behind of tiny bit ahead of his hand range. Toss it in the muck (or the virtual muck).

Easy fold??? At the PL 25? You think he is going to raise to $8 with a made flush? I put him on AK with maybe 1 heart and do not fold. Up to you to call or reraise...

How about calling, then re-evaluating the turn? I usually push a blank turn hard, and c/f a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Hmm, yeah. That's what I did (in response to element00). My read was the same as 1C5's--most likely holding AK, probably with 1 heart, putting me ahead by about 56 to 44:

The rest of the hand:

Hero raises to $30.65, BB calls $24.50 (All-In), Hero calls $1.85.

Turn: ($72) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($72) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $72

Results in white below:
Hero has Ac As (one pair, aces).
BB has Ks Ah (flush, ace high).
Outcome: BB wins $72.

Re: 25PL - Tough AA Hand

Preflop, Im raising much more than this. With a min-raise and 2 callers, your not getting the most value out of your hand raising to only 1.9. Im raising this to around 3.50.

On the flop, how it went down, Its a tough decision. The problem is if you raise him you are commiting yourself to calling if he re-raises you, due to his stack size AND your stack size. After thinking about it, call me weak-tight all you want, but Im laying this down.

Edit- Tough beat. It did seem like A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] was a strong possiblity. I still stick to my decision, though.

People who want to beat worse players for a bigger rate than probably any other form of hold'em.

dinero, couple of things.
1) You're in the SB - worst position possible. You should look at the idea of check-raising more from the front.
2) In any case, your hand is quite weak here. Just a pair, no heart and you want to push against a raise???

You're 57% against a pair with flush draw, and a dog to 2 pair or a set. Against a flush, you're destroyed. You'd have to believe that you're against the pair/flush-draw(or worse hands) the vast majority of the time to push here - and that's still a small edge.
If he has the flush even 15% of the time, that's enough to make it a losing play, especially if he has 2pair/set some of the other 85%.

Give some credit for the raise. Fold or else follow orange's advice.
