OT: Card Prescience
Anyone notice the curious psychology of 'predicting' cards? Is it just our memory of the times we're right that make it weird, or the natural pessimism or optimism when it happens?
e.g. optimism. As smallstack, push 44 on the bubble, 1 caller. turns over AA. "No sweat, here comes a 4", and the turn doth deliver. e.g. pessimism. Big stack with AA with small stack pushing into you. Sweet! See the 44 "the prick will get a 4 no doubt" and the turn doth deliver. |

Re: OT: Card Prescience
I think it is best explained by special probability, described by Dave Cinch here:
special probability Dave, of course, stole the idea from me and didn't bother to give me a footnote: That which we shall not speak of Irieguy |
