Re: do I want to raise anywhere?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Even at the lower levels that I play I rarely see a LRR that's not AA. [/ QUOTE ] I have seen people do this with AA KK A3off 33 76s J2o. LRR doesn't mean AA. [/ QUOTE ] It all depends on whether we think it means AA/KK/QQ >50% of the time. I think that a LRR from an early position player in a heads up pot means AA/KK/QQ a lot. |

Re: do I want to raise anywhere?
apart from this forum the only LRR's ive seen is with:
JJ/TT/A3s/A9s The kind of hand that donks dont re-raise because they think its weak.. then think ah what the hell ill raise; it seems. Anyhow i just raise the flop and if i get 3bet ill call down majority of time. |

Re: do I want to raise anywhere?
:grunching
I like your line. Clearly you're not laying TPTK down HU vs this villain. If villain has AA/KK/QQ a raise will just lose you more money. If he doesn't have you beat a raise would just make him fold. So, your line seems to make the most when ahead and lose the least when behind. |

Re: do I want to raise anywhere?
Given your description of the villian I think raising the flop would be bad here. I would also cap preflop (although it worked out nicely when the flop hit you!).
I would consider raising the river because of the fact that he may be tilting. |

Re: do I want to raise anywhere?
Im confused.
well no; i see a reason to call down, im not sure i can lay down TPTK... But in game id of raised this and if i got 3bet consider calldown/fold(as i say, probably the former) I dont see a JJ/TT/Ax or any junk 3betting but probably calling down to his his outs. AA/KK i see 3betting.... So we could fold but folding is yucky. |

Re: do I want to raise anywhere?
- We don't know if our hand is good here. Actually we don't really care if it is good here. If we goto war, it will only be with about 20-30% equity. If he folds his hand, he was probably drawing to 2 outs or less. Both of these should lead us away from aggression.
- We want to see what his cards are. If he is tilting and did this with T9o, we want to know. - We don't want to encourage him to do this again if he has a good hand. Piss him off by calling down with AQ when he has AA. Maybe it will get him to play more straight forward the next time. - We can't fold on the flop if we are behind. He could be messing with us when he 3-bets. We also have a good number of outs against KK and the hero has the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. |

Re: do I want to raise anywhere?
so its a case of:
If he has junk let him bluff and bet away. If he has AA we want to lose the least/KK. Although it just looks like spewing, I wont try to apply this as the situations seem to specific and theres no clear cut reasons it seems. if he raised standardly... would you still apply this? |
