Hello,MRB! U played your...
two small pairs exactly like the suggested guidelines of most writers.
If U are up against one or two opponents and U have the best hand at the moment,U are not in bad shape UNLESS one of your opponents has a higher two pairs. If U had more than two opponents' taging along with U, than your best play would have been to fold 5th Str. when the betting doubles. Happy poker,MRB! Sitting Bull |

Larry,
95% of low limit players could care less when and how you play.. Hence the reason you wait for good cards. If you are a very good player, then certainly feel free to play marginal hands, as you can outplay your opponents on later streets... I do But my general advice to most players that I don't know, is to avoid putting themselves into complicated situations. CJ |

Hello,CJ! I agree with the 95% assessment IF U...
play with DIFFERENT players who is not familiar with your style. However,if U are playing against many of the same players frequently, they will NOT give U any action MOST of the time--even in low-limit games.
Note: Roy West agrees with your point of view. The only time U will obtain some action on your premium hands is if U do not have to wait too long to obtain such a hand. However,if U wait and wait and wait and finally come in,very few--if any---players will give U any action. Your best strategy at this point is to change tables to play with new players. Happy pokering, Sitting Bull |
