[ QUOTE ]
I was just wondering, how much FE do you have? He has to call 23,000 to win 50,000 should he be laying much down there? Obviously I agree he should lay down Q7, but how about if he had a more normal steal like i) 77 ii) 33 iv) A7s v) AJo Which of these are folds? [/ QUOTE ] If it's me, I would probably call with 77 and 33 as I could put my opp on just overcards. The A7s I would probably fold as I would be dominated by too many hands and the AJ is a probable call as its only dominated by 6 hands. |

villain has <9 bb's to start and puts in ~4/9 of his chips. i think you have zero fold equity here (esp. with antes to entice him to play).
i like a stop n go all-in. assuming he's got overcards and the flop misses you both, he almost has odds to call the flop push but won't know it b/c there will likely be overcards to his smaller card. |

So you think the stop-n-go is better than folding? (I assume we both agree going all-in is the worst option). Maybe I am not aware of the success rate of this play, but my inclincation would be to fold here. I tend to think of the stop-n-go as being used in situations where you're much more desperate.

no, you're right, now that i look at it again. i'd fold. i was just thinking of push vs. stop n go.
wanna take a look at the thread "final table question"? i'm in a back-and-forth and i want some confirmation i'm not saying something idiotic. |
