Do we have an official verdict on party 3/6 6-max yet?
Basically how does it compare to 5/10 in terms of quality of players and aggression? How is the rake in proportion to 5/10?

Re: Do we have an official verdict on party 3/6 6-max yet?
It kicked my ass for 20BB last night. Actually..
Compared to the 5/10: - Less Aggressive. Particularly less raising with nothing on the turn or the river. - A lot of loose players who will call the whole way with any pair or just ace high. - A lot more likely to have 5-6 players see a flop. Also more likely to get free flops from the big blind. Overall it's an easy game to beat. Last night I was playing a variety of 3/6 max limits (2/4, 3/6, 5/10) at various sites and definitely made the most at 3/6 (just not on party). |

Re: Do we have an official verdict on party 3/6 6-max yet?
A few things I'm wondering about, which I don't think have been discussed before.
(1) Are the party 3/6 six-max tables likely to attract many pokerstars 3/6 players? (2) If the first answer is "yes," then what will the effect be at stars? I'm guessing that party 3/6 is going to largely resemble stars 3/6, after a while. |

I honestly don't think that will happen. There are a lot of players that only have accounts at one site, particularly 3/6 players. My boss opened a poker account yesterday with $500 and dropped $300 at 3/6 within 4 hours.

wtf? You should be playing 5/10 unless it gets significantly worse.
Hasn't happened yet. |

I'm not ready for 5/10 but 3/6 seems to be a good game

Re: Do we have an official verdict on party 3/6 6-max yet?
The day that the new 3/6 sh got spread at Party I got all nervous about how that would effect 5/10, so I decided to take the night off.
Played 5/10 again last night and it actually seemed more loose passive than it has ever been. Still plenty of guys sitting down with 10bb...completely unbluffable...I actually had a hard time adjusting because I was all ready to be Mr. Aggressive Six Max Raise Boy. I eventually got my head out of my ass...but anyway...point of this is that 5/10 is still good, yo. |

This usually includes LAGs, but the LAGS and LPPs pass the money back and forth, and it eventually comes to me. These tables are good until 2 players bust and other 2+2ers are sitting on the waiting list and make it half sharks . That's when I leave, and find another table. |
