Do we have an official verdict on party 3/6 6-max yet?

Basically how does it compare to 5/10 in terms of quality of players and aggression? How is the rake in proportion to 5/10?

It kicked my ass for 20BB last night. Actually..

Compared to the 5/10:

- Less Aggressive. Particularly less raising with nothing on the turn or the river.
- A lot of loose players who will call the whole way with any pair or just ace high.
- A lot more likely to have 5-6 players see a flop. Also more likely to get free flops from the big blind.

Overall it's an easy game to beat. Last night I was playing a variety of 3/6 max limits (2/4, 3/6, 5/10) at various sites and definitely made the most at 3/6 (just not on party).

A few things I'm wondering about, which I don't think have been discussed before.

(1) Are the party 3/6 six-max tables likely to attract many pokerstars 3/6 players?

(2) If the first answer is "yes," then what will the effect be at stars?

I'm guessing that party 3/6 is going to largely resemble stars 3/6, after a while.

I honestly don't think that will happen. There are a lot of players that only have accounts at one site, particularly 3/6 players. My boss opened a poker account yesterday with $500 and dropped $300 at 3/6 within 4 hours.

wtf? You should be playing 5/10 unless it gets significantly worse.

Hasn't happened yet.

I'm not ready for 5/10 but 3/6 seems to be a good game

It's a good game, alot of bad players. Alot more bluffing than I am used to at Stars and other assorted places.

I just meant Buster specifically, since he's been playing 5/10 anyway and has the roll.

I'm actually finding the 3/6 SH plays very much like the 1/2 SH. Same type of passive game.

party 3/6 6-max

3/6 6-max @ Party! Excellent! This is the first I've heard of it! I'm going play it tonite.

The lack of 6-max at Party between the 1/2 & 5/10 tables has been a huge hole in their lineup. It's great, but what took them so long to start it?
