Who knows what an UTG poster might have? (I suspect he has Q8, T9, random crap, or 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].)
Dunno if I'd raise or not. |

I don't think a call is bad here. I might have raised the river.

its either 9-T or QK and the call is fine IMO.

My personal rule of thumb for one-pair hands is the third donk bet is on the house. Having raised the flop and the turn I'll just call this one. It's not uncommon for sets to play this way and I've already paid off as much as I should.
Without a read it's about 50-50 between losing to a monster and catching some slick-killer that's betting to prevent the free showdown. One problem with raising is there is a real question whether you can get paid for being right. In particular a good player might sometimes bet the river with a hand that I beat, but only in a moment of weakness would he call the raise. If he felt he needed to call he wouldn't have bet. |

only in a moment of weakness would he call the raise. [/ QUOTE ] Any Q will call this riverraise on Party 5/10 6max. Especially if it's QJo or QJs |

You'll see a lone Q here very often. I'd raise the river and fold to a 3bet against many opponents.

He has QJx, KQc, AQx, AQc, or perhaps even KKx. I would raise the river for value, since all the mentioned hands will call the raise.
Doh! Just read the responses. Brassnuts I believe has it about right. |
