Re: NL 200, KK w/position
Range of hands:
With these stats, almost always a set, possibly JJ or QQ. MAYBE AT of clubs but I don't know that he would c/r with that or even call with it preflop (or with 89). You didn't three bet enough to punish a flush draw, but bought yourself a free river from his set (which he most likely has). I'd definitely check this turn, and call a value bet on the river. EDIT: do you think the turn check means JJ or QQ or a set trying to get you to fire again. In other words, how much are you betting if he checks a blank river. |

Re: NL 200, KK w/position
I think it's a set trying to get me to fire again. The way it went was I checked the turn, he push river and I fold. To me it was either JJ/QQ or a set and like you said he likely isn't calling AT OOP at all. Thanks for the reply I really felt weak check/folding but it seemed like the thing to do.

check folding when you are almost surely behind like that definitely isn't weak, very well played.

Re: NL 200, KK w/position
I don't see why BB can't have AA here either. I'd say your flop 3-bet narrows your hand range significantly. I don't mind the 3-bet but against those PT #'s a set does seem likely.

Re: NL 200, KK w/position
I dont like the flop 3-bet. Do you think villain is semibluffing OOP playing this way? I think it's unlikely.
Possible hand range could be a set, overpair, or maybe TPTK, and your flop 3-bet will make most worse hands fold, but bloat the pot for villain if he has the set. I would just smoothcall the raise on the flop, reevalute on turn hoping for a cheapish showdown, or a 2-outer.
