Default Early KK Play

I hope this doesn't come across as a bad beats post but I've been having some issues with KK in early levels at the $22 and I'd like to get some feedback on my play. I think I probably played hand one correctly and misplayed hand two but I'd appreciate any input.

You got unlucky in both, really.

Hand 1: in the $22s, 90% of the time you'll be up against a worse pocket pair (or someone really overplaying a top pair or something).

Hand 2: It's basically a coin flip after that flop. Oh well. 90% of the time you're ahead here, too.

1st hand fine.

2nd hand, there was $55 in the pot before you acted, plus your call of $15 and raise of $55 more (for the $70) putting $120 in the pot and only $55 for people to call, giving them greater than 2:1 odds.

I would have raised to $115-$150 making the pot total $170-$205, giving less than 2:1 pot odds and increasing my FE.

Beyond that, you got sucked out on, plain and simple.

These are indeed bad beat posts. How exactly do you think you can fold in either of these situations?

Push pre-flop and you won't get called by 94 and 56.

Problem solved.

Are you really advocating pushing here or are you just joking?

I hope it's the latter...

OP seems to feel like there's a problem with 94 and 56 calling his big bets.

So push.

Well, you won't lose to bad beats as often! (you also won't win much either, but at the $10's ...)
