I\'m Depressed and Don\'t Want To Play
Can you guys give me some advice on how to move on after being raped by fish by bad beat after bad beat yesterday to the tune of 40 bb in 10-20 and 7 buyins in baby nl 1-2. It just seems like I should give up and not play. Should I take a break or fight back today and get it back?

Re: I\'m Depressed and Don\'t Want To Play
You should go back to playing chess.
And then you should challenge Garry Kasparov. |

Re: I\'m Depressed and Don\'t Want To Play
I wholeheartedly agree.
If you are depressed, the odds are high that you will not play well. You will probably lose, which will increase your depression. Take a break until you can play with enthusiasm and confidence. Regards, Al |

Additionally, it is my opinion that if you are that bothered by dropping 40BB at the level you are playing then you should be playing at a lower level.

Re: I\'m Depressed and Don\'t Want To Play
Gata, I also wanted to say that I made a post about this in SS a couple of weeks ago: Stuck to the Grind.
In short, if you're experiencing emotional fatigue, sadness, self-doubt or anger when you play, you're doing something wrong. If you're a casual player, you need to reevaluate why, when and how you play. If you're playing for needed money, you need to evaluate if you're really cut out for the grind. |

[/ QUOTE ] I certainly hope not, because it would now be really sad to see a once proud prodigy, who was once touted for his steely nerves, whining worse than a stuck, freshman cheerleader after a date gone bad with the star quarterback. |

Not playing isn't an option?
