Re: harrisburg

I am from a little south of Pittsburgh, and there is always a game going. House games, firehalls, clubs, etc. I thought it would be easy to find a game here. I work for the state so I am always...

harrisburg b&m

Any good NL games (1/2, 2/5 range) in Harrisburg? I will be in town tonight and tomorrow night. Not familiar with the area. Staying at Days Inn on Front Street. Thanks.

Re: Aces Up

I wanted to build a pot, so I could put more pressure on them on the turn. They will almost always fold a draw for a big bet on the turn, but on the flop they won't fold unless I overbet the flop or...

Re: Aces Up

I strongly with agree with you but both players behind me were aggresive and almost every flop at this table was bet. I hate to check-raise, but thought it was the best line here. The main question...

Re: Aces Up

I hate to checkraise, but thought this would be the best way to go here. If I lead for $20 and get two callers, there is only $80 in the pot. If I lead for $80 on the turn any draw is still calling...

Re: Nut Straight/Fold?

I stated that you had $150 going into the hand, and that the villian is very solid. It doesn't matter if the game is loose or not.

Re: Nut Straight/Fold?

I wasn't in the hand, so I don't remember the preflop action. It was an extremely loose game with a lot of straddles and double straddles. I just thought it was an interesting hand, since the guy...

Re: Flopping top set against draws

It actually is a 1/2 NL hold'em game, but late in the night when just the regulars are left, we start switching between the two every round. It is a great game because a lot of the guys haven't...

Re: Collusion?

Everyone folded preflop to villian1 in the bb. With just the two villians left to act, my guess is that they figured they could both call and then blast the pot. On the turn when villian1 bets $100...

Re: Flopped Flush Gets Reraised

So, it sounds like this is one of those unfortunate situations where I just have to pay him off, unless the stacks are deeper.

I didn't plan to check raise here. I planned to check-call, and...
