Re: Q9s on the button. Standard?

I might limp with that hand on the button after all the limpers, but it's pretty marginal. On the flop, why do you raise to knock out the rest of the field with a drawing hand(1 overcard and a...

Re: 2 x 100BB downswings in 10K hands. OK or bad, very bad?

Won %@SD depends a lot on your playing style. From reading this board, you can tell Strip and Nate like to pound you into submission with or without a hand. Their W%WSF should be pretty high since...

Re: laying down to a clown

Hmm, you advocate 3-betting with K5suited on a K9T board versus 2 opponents. Yet, you don't call down/3-bet with your overpair against a clown HU, on a none-flush/straight board?

Re: How much does a preflop raise change the complexion?

I think there are better places to spew chips than on that board. It's possible that both are drawing, but he did mention that this is a passive table. I usually prefer to 3 bet in a better spot.

Re: How much does a preflop raise change the complexion?

Blearg, I don't like the preflop limp even with a limper and a poster. Otherwise, it was a good fold on the flop.

Re: I\'m getting my feet wet short handed.

It Depends on your read on the MP, against average opponents, it's a easy fold for me on the river. TP/MK is almost never good in this situation. Altho, the saying goes you need to call enough in...

Re: I\'m very good at it, and it amazes me how well I can play sometime

When he called with this hand preflop, I don't think he was hoping to flop an Ace, but a draw. In the likely case he is dominated, any decent postflop player can get away from the hand if an Ace...

Re: I\'m very good at it, and it amazes me how well I can play sometimes.

There's no way I'm folding A3suited that plays well multiway preflop after 2 coldcallers.

Re: JJ

You can't beat top pair on the turn when you were CR'ed, I'd let this hand go just about all the time unless I have notes on the specific player.

Re: Bottom end of the straight

Blearg, fold this preflop. If you want to get tricky and mix it up once in a while, raise it up, but don't limp in. Other than that, you played it fine.

Re: Party 5/10 6 max - QQ hand - can I do any better here?

I would raise the flop, try to get it HU and gather information. If i pick up a heartdraw on the turn or a gutterball, I'll bet. I'd like to give my opponents a chance to fold on just about every...

Re: 62o from the BB

Bah, it's getting late, misread the board. I'd take a stab at the river.

Re: 62o from the BB

I would've checked the river, I doubt you would've gotten called by a worse hand.

I'd 3 bet with this hand preflop just about all the time.

Raise/Fold?

Wild game, I was capped by 54suited and Q9o in the last orbit when I had pocket Kings and Queens. We are usually seeing the flop 3-4 handed for 2-3 bets.

Re: Party 10/20 vs 5/10 (maybe 15/30 as well)

There are only 3 15/30 SH tables, but the games can be very good at times, scout ahead. At peak evening hours, there are plenty of good 10/20 6 max tables to pick from. Be prepared to see whole lot...

Re: More aggressive on the flop?

Checking the flop is fine HU, but I'd bet the turn just about all the time. Your river raise was pretty bad, your two pair was counterfeited, you are behind any King, any Queen.

I don't complete...

Re: Check-raise river (and fold to a 3-bet?)

I like the check-raise, fold to a 3 bet route on the river. Altho, I would've lead out on the turn more often than not, or possibly checkraised the turn and bet the river in the dark if I felt...

Pocket 8s, felt kind of funny.

I've been at the table for a few orbits, it's very passive for a 10/20 6 max table. I've been raising a lot of pots. I guess my question is did I overplay my hand on the later streets.

Party...

Re: 5/10 shorthanded a whole different beast.

I like the turn raise, but against unknown opponents, I might opt to check the river. I doubt MP will bet on the end without having a superior hand. When your turn raise failed to knock any...

I would play the same way, except on the river, I would've just called his raise.

Re: Those swings sound too large?

I do multi-table. Over the last 25k hands at 10/20 6 max, i've had 2 150-200BB downward swings, and I don't think that's from tilting. I'm pretty happy with my winrate. My SD is 15BB, which is a...
