Re: Brick City Nights Updates
3rd, call, raise, whatever.
On 6th, you want him to fold if at all possible, so bet or c/r based on what you think will make this happen. Betting is better since you have a probable lock on low with...

Re: my biggest pot 5/10 stud8
Is there anything beyond the obvious cap on 5th? The 3rd street call is pretty marginal. You have to have large implied odds to play that one, since you might be heads up against an A doorcard, which...

Re: Nice move on 5th?
I think your cards are a bit dead for this. To be honest, I have trouble thinking about that myself. Are you shutting down if he calls?

Re: 2+2 8/B Tourney
Is this made? If not, someone just pick an evening next week and go with it. I don't have enough points for it myself...how many do you need?

Re: party 10+1s
STTs at the 10+1 level are really easy. Basically, they don't know how to play stud, and they don't know how to play tournaments. $$$!
But be prepared for ridiculous suckouts. Just so you know....

Folding an A doorcard shorthanded first in is a sin.

It was an image play.

Re: TIMMER
Nice tourney. I wish I had been able to be there more than 10 out of the first 45 minutes. And then I was foolish enough to play a high pair into trips.
How on earth did Amnestic finish 6th?
PS...

Re: \"Noise Filtering\"
How many messages do you delete per day? Is it becoming an insurmountable task? The forums look like they have a high signal/noise ratio, but that's after moderation.
You could just try a Bayesian...

Cosmic Encounter (NOT the new 4 player version. EON or Mayfair.)
Diplomacy is the best in terms of game play, but Cosmic Encounter is the best in general because getting 7 players for...

I was wondering if someone was going to mention Sapporo Ichiban. That's the only acceptable flavor.

Biggest break for the Red Sox?
Heard this on ESPN...the Tony Clark ground-rule double in game 5(?). It goes 2 inches up or down and they score, and the Sox go home.

Schilling in Game 1 or 2?
Well? I think it's 2, so he can pitch game 6 on normal rest. He can't pitch in 3/4/5 because he can't go into the batter's box. But would 1/6 be better? Or is there a rest day in there?

Re: New to stud
More EV, more variance. The swings can be nuts. I've gained 30 BB in 30 minutes and lost the same at 1/2. Never be afraid to cap...often they will have ridiculous hands. Within reason, of course.
