Re: QQ - do i have to call this down?

Re: QQ - do i have to call this down?

Exactly. I don't mean to encourage results-oriented thinking. I still think this a fluke occurance of me actually being ahead in the hand. I showed villain's hand for closure.

Vex, I read your...

Re: QQ - do i have to call this down?

Thanks for the replies. I hate to say it, but Vex is the only one that wouldn't have gotten absolutely PUNK'D on this hand. Villain showed this:

QQ - do i have to call this down?

Villain sat down a few hands ago, so I had to assume that capping preflop meant a premium hand like AA-TT, AK-AQs, so as a default read that's what I went with. I had a few more hands on the BB, and...

Re: How would you have played this maniac?

Looks like he's just getting really lucky. I think capping the turn and river on the KK hand was a bit over-ambitious though. Maniacs make tons and tons of mistakes, so you can grind them away more...

Re: An idea for analyzing by session

I like the idea, and have a related suggestion.

My single worst hand is AJo and I can't for the life of me figure out why. AJs is doing well, ATo is doing well, etc. I've been dealt AJo 47 times,...

Should you \"play through\" a bad run of cards?

For the past 2 weeks playing online I have been getting pretty bad cards, and it shows no signs of letting up. But I keep playing anyway, and I just keep on getting bad cards. In fact I am trying to...

not getting paid off = time to slowplay?

Over the past few days I've ran into some really tight tables, and I can't get good hands paid off. This is still at $0.5/1 on Party, so I doubt that the players themselves have improved, rather this...

Re: Putting people on hands

Most players at $0.5/1 on Party are in love with any ace, and most can't tell the difference between A3o and AKs. They just call. So if the flop comes ace-rag, then you need to worry about two pair....

bluffing in micro limits

From another thread:

2 things for me. they are both tough to explain, but i think you know it when you see it.

2. learning how to bluff in micro...

Re: annie duke\'s janet jackson/ tara reid moment

I watched most of it up until Negreanu busted, then I sorta trailed off. Came back for the final few hands.

I gotta say it was not that entertaining. Watching people steal the blinds has no...

Re: (Low content) Variance

I don't have any yardstick to measure by, but I seem to suffer way more than my fair share of bad beats. Yet despite that, I'm still winning at a rate of 4 BB/100 after 5k hands on Party $0.5/1. I'm...

Looks like you're showing down too many marginal hands.

The odds of someone holding 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif are around 1 in 1000 so I wasn't going to worry about it /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Villain has been playing like a maniac for the past hour (40/21/10), and although he was making money, there wasn't much strategy from him: raise raise raise and hope for the best hand. He showed...
