Having bet the flop and gotten 4 callers,when the turn card comes and i pick up extra outs i would have checked the turn.You might have the best hand but with so many callers it appears...

I liked his flop bet for the following reasons;
1) The pot is large
2)The board is ragged
3)Only 5 cards connect with the board which makes it less likely that someone made a hand....

I think your goal is to maximize your EV.IMO your going to
win more chips(maximize EV) by raising the flop. The pot is so big that most hands are going to call 2 bets on the flop....

I think that SSH is the best limit holdem book ever written.Probably one of the big reasons is what you stated that it is tailored for the loose bad players that populate the games...
