Re: Ask any newbie question here

Hey Citanul, thanks for doing this. Most recommend pushing UTG when on the bubble to apply max pressure on opponents who are reluctant to bust, especially when you have the big stack. However, it...

Re: Any good hand reading posts out there?

Here's a good article from the 2+2 magazine links:

http://www.twoplustwo.com/skp1.html

Also, do a search for William, CrisBrown and AleoMagus who posted a few hand reading threads last year.

Re: Need to write some articles on sit and gos

Depending on the audience, I think a solid guide on reading hands would be especially helpful. I remember CrisBrown, William, Aleo and Bluff1 wrote a few good ones some time ago. There's also a...

Re: Pokerstars 5+.50 -- Sanity check on this push

Thanks for the response. The fact that your reasoning went through my head was a good thing. Too bad it was miliseconds after hitting the Bonehead Move button.

Btw, I couldn't get the converter...

Too aggressive or bad luck? (PokerStars $6+.50 newbie post)

Background on this hand is that I played very tight early and won only one showdown (quad tens on the flop against a med stack A high flush). I had a horrible run of cards but maintained a decent...

Question re chip position (newbie post)

Hey all, my first hand posting. Please excuse my newbieness.

The table was really tight with blinds increasing every 5 minutes (next level to occur during the hand following this one). Given my...

Heads up strategy guide?

I play home game tourneys and consistently make it to the final two, but I almost invariably end up 2nd. Sure, I've had a fair share of bad beats, but 75% 2nd place finishes indicates a trend. Can...

Re: Odds website

The easiest program to use is www.PokerStove.com. (http://www.PokerStove.com.) This is a downloadable program that allows you to specify exact hands, hand ranges (e.g., Ax) or random hands.

Re: SnG FAQ - First draft (long - but not long enough! )

Hey Tim, thanks for putting this list together. Would you guys rather bookmark this post or should I post it to the website that I built (www.SitAndGoStrategy.com). Maybe I can revise the site to...

Re: SNG FAQ - Check out www.SitAndGoStrategy.com

The goal of the forum on the SitAndGo.com site is not to compete with 2+2. It's just an easier way of consolidating content requests while people are already over there. I could have used a message...

SNG FAQ - Check out www.SitAndGoStrategy.com

I took eastbay's suggestion and started a SNG FAQ site. It's at www.SitAndGoStrategy.com. (http://www.SitAndGoStrategy.com.) Hopefully this site can serve as a reference point for the major topics....

I posted Aleo's strategy outline at www.sitandgostrategy.com. (http://www.sitandgostrategy.com.) The site isn't done yet, but at least his guide is up.

Re: I\'m starting a site called www.sitandgostrategy.com

I think the site will be such that only 2+2ers who know where the site is located will access the info. I purposely left "poker" and "holdem" out of the URL to make it less likely for the search...

Re: Dumb newbie question: Is a 3BB raise equal to \"3BB to go\" or \"BB+3BB\"?

Thanks all for the responses.

Ben, I assume the "3BB raise" means "make it 80 to go" for yours and Aleo's strategy guide. So with AK in EP, I would bet 80 in this example. Correct?

Thanks...

Dumb newbie question: Is a 3BB raise equal to \"3BB to go\" or \"BB+3BB\"?

If blinds are 10/20, does the statement "make a 3x BB raise" equal to a raise of 60 or 80?

Sorry for the dumb question, but I'd appreciate the clarification. Thanks!

Re: AJs on bubble...call all in?

With very loose players who call all-ins fairly frequently, isn't the pot somewhat protected? I will most likely beat one person heads up, but with multiple callers, it becomes increasingly likely...

AJs on bubble...call all in?

Home tourney with payouts to first two spots (75%/25% split). Three handed, everyone pretty much even. Slightly smaller stack EP goes all in (loose player, will typically go all in with Ax or Kx)....

Re: Beating the Party 10+1, Part 2

What are everyone's thoughts about Axs? In a passive game, I limp with Axs almost all of the time, but maybe this is a big leak for me. The problem is that I limp with Axs, flop four to a flush and...
