Re: Bottom pair
I might be out of step, but I actually like the flop raise. You are in late position with what is essentially a drawing hand. Maybe the pot is too small, but on that flop this is not likely that...

Re: Potawanomi Report
I found out that they started to take call ins starting about the beginning of July.
As to cell phones, I second the notion that the stalls in the john make nice phone booths. As to the poker...

Re: Bringing a laptop to LV
Depending on the size of the laptop, it might well fit into an in room safe. Mine fits into many of them, but I haven't stayed at MB in many years.

Re: Vegas Steak Houses
I want to second the thought on the steakhouse in Circus Circus. I went there a couple of years ago on a recommendation from a friend who does a lot of business in LV with the visitors and travelers...

Re: Good Food in Vegas
The last time that I was at the Rio, it actually had two buffets...one the standard and the second a seafood buffet. The seafood buffet, while delicious, was not cheap at over $30 per person for...

Re: Casino visit around Chicago
Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee spreads 2-4 limit. Depending on what part of the Chicago area you are coming from, it might be closer than Resorts or Trump.

Re: Seattle Poker Rooms
Thanks for the reply, but it was a little late. I was there last Wednesday. I thought the tournament would be cutting it a little close, so I sat down at a great 4-8 table. The cards were running...

Re: Seattle Poker Rooms
I have a couple of questions I hope some locals can help me with. First, is the Muck a non-smoking room? Also, how long does the Wednesday 7:15 PM tourney last until generally? (Any chance of...

I too will be visiting there in a couple of weeks. I am staying downtown. Which is the closest? How much would the cab ride be? Thanks.

Re: Chicago cardrooms?
I don't know about other lodging in the area, but the rooms at Harrah's East Chicago are very nice. Much nicer than those at Harrah's Las Vegas, IMHO.

Re: Chicago cardrooms?
Depending where in the Chicago area you are, (e.g., Northern Suburbs) it might be more convenient to drive north to Milwaukee. The Potawatomi spreads 2-4 and 5-10 games.

Re: ABSOLUTE WORST BAD BEAT ON TOP OF A BAD BEAT?
Given a pair up against two undercards, I think the odds of flopping quads on one of the undercards followed by quads on the pair is one in 8,561,520. There are 12 combinations for the undercards (6...
