Re: Folding a four flus on the turn with K9s, my first session at 5/10

Only if you win every time when you hit the hand - you lose 3 bets if by chance your opponent fills if you flush - and do you really raise everytime if a 9 or K comes on the river an the BB bets -...

Re: How about this blind defense? A4o in BB

Hi Guido,

I do not like your kicker here - so I would not raise the turn after being 3-bet on flop - I would just call him down (even if I hate to do that) - if he was drawing he would probably...

Re: I suck in blind defense so please help me out! KQs in SB

I would 3-bet preflop like you did - maybe Button is aggressive so he caps with any Ace - CR the flop i would too - but I would definitely bet out on the turn in case he is on some kind of draw -...

Re: Flopped trips w/ AK

pretty aggressive - if he is a sane person he would not bet out on the river with less then a full after being capped on the turn - call but be prepared to lose here

Re: what do you do in this situation?

Raise - you need to protect your middle high pair here - but you should already know how to procede - eg bet the turn even if an overcard falls

Re: 66 on the button, cutoff raises - your action?

Hello Sarge,

thank you for the very good analyse of the hand (and other hands that need implied odds), especially for the part what happens to your odds when you cold-call.

I agree with you...

Hi Guido

on the flop you are against what?

A worse kicker, any ten, QJ, perhaps even some pocket pairs. Remember you're up against a loose aggressive...

Re: Do I just need to accept I am not very good?

I absolutely agree with Joe - great post - ever thought about specializing in tournaments? - I think there is big profit especially in online tournaments - and if you are already showing some profit...

Re: K7s in the BB

The board is KT5 with no flush draw so when you are raised on the flop you are against what? - I prefer to be the bettor here and to win a small pot - or lose one - I definitely do not want to call...

Re: K7s in the BB

I do not like the hand that much - even against a loose aggressive I would bet out on the flop after SB checks - and probably folding around 90% if i get raised - I hope you won the hand anyway

Re: How much \"swing\" to expect

Personally, I agree with you (i always buy-in for at least 25xBB), but my answer was in the specific situation Steve was in. It helps sometimes to refocus yourself on a new table. For me it's also a...

Re: How much \"swing\" to expect

Do not play too long on the same table when you are stuck - you get a bad image - change the table if you lost 10xBB - there are so many other tables there :-) (maybe with worse player too - or...
