Re: How about this blind defense? A4o in BB
Hi Guido,
I do not like your kicker here - so I would not raise the turn after being 3-bet on flop - I would just call him down (even if I hate to do that) - if he was drawing he would probably...

Re: Flopped trips w/ AK
pretty aggressive - if he is a sane person he would not bet out on the river with less then a full after being capped on the turn - call but be prepared to lose here

Re: what do you do in this situation?
Raise - you need to protect your middle high pair here - but you should already know how to procede - eg bet the turn even if an overcard falls

A worse kicker, any ten, QJ, perhaps even some pocket pairs. Remember you're up against a loose aggressive...

Re: Do I just need to accept I am not very good?
I absolutely agree with Joe - great post - ever thought about specializing in tournaments? - I think there is big profit especially in online tournaments - and if you are already showing some profit...

Re: K7s in the BB
The board is KT5 with no flush draw so when you are raised on the flop you are against what? - I prefer to be the bettor here and to win a small pot - or lose one - I definitely do not want to call...

Re: K7s in the BB
I do not like the hand that much - even against a loose aggressive I would bet out on the flop after SB checks - and probably folding around 90% if i get raised - I hope you won the hand anyway

Re: How much \"swing\" to expect
Personally, I agree with you (i always buy-in for at least 25xBB), but my answer was in the specific situation Steve was in. It helps sometimes to refocus yourself on a new table. For me it's also a...

Re: How much \"swing\" to expect
Do not play too long on the same table when you are stuck - you get a bad image - change the table if you lost 10xBB - there are so many other tables there :-) (maybe with worse player too - or...
