Re: 1/2$ low set - how did I play this?
So I guess its a matter of extracting the most from the (unlikely) hands that I beat, and just lose my stack to set over set here, even though it is very likely he has KK.
Maybe call, call would...

Re: 1/2$ low set - how did I play this?
Good posts. I did fear the KK, but there were also a lot of draws so I might get a call from a weird played AA or AK. If i raised to 90, I thought it would scream a set, and maybe let him get away....

Re: Full ring $200 party - rip my line apart
If i were gonna raise i guess it should be my usual preflop raise which is 3-5*BB. 4 should be enough to steal here.

Re: Full ring $200 party - rip my line apart
Thanks for the reply Swolfe. I am not defending my play here but would like you and others to go a little deeper with this.
Preflop. Do you recommend always raising playable hands in LP?. With a...

Re: Common 6max top pair situation. Is it simple?
If you check turn you have to call if he bets at the river. I like a 3/4-pot bet at the turn and check behind at the river. I fold to a reraise or a big river bet.

Like you said, he may put you on the draw, and you can possibly use that later if it hits.

I was planning to use that later if it didn't hit, since I had no reason to...

Re: Party $200 6-Max dilemma
I also felt it was a clear fold. I would say at least 70% sure. But after reading the high stakes NL forums for a long time, it just seems that the general opinion is that this is a hand I should...

Re: Party $200 6-Max dilemma
Very good answer Swolfe. In one way i wanted information, but i also had the "You can't fear set over set" in the back of my head so the information was probably worthless anyway. I go all in he...

Re: Party $200 6-Max dilemma
Thinking of this, i had a loser table image and he wouldn't fold 99 even if I went all in. He would maybe fold A9s or AK and call with 99, AA or ATs.

Re: Party $200 6-Max dilemma
When Villian bet the turn I thought he could be slowplaying AK. There were no draws and it was heads up, so it might be a good time for that. There was also the 99 possibility so just folding to his...

Party $200 6-Max dilemma
Hi. I've been reading these forums for a while and decided to post my first hand. Villian is a very tight player.
