Pokertracker stats--yes, I know I suck

I am a crappy player. I win some, I lose some. I go through big swings. I will get on a roll with killer cards and make some money, but as soon as the cards quit coming, I lose back most of what I...

Re: Trouble With 9\'s

99 is a group III hand and is somewhat strong. I think just limping is too weak in most cases. As long as you have established a fairly tight image at the table and if the table is loose-passive,...

Re: Brunson \' quote about Sklansky

I disagree with the Tiger Woods/Barry Bonds analogy. This would be more like challenging the world's best 9-ball player to face off with the world's best 8-ball or snooker player. I am sure Sklansky...

Re: Should I have re-raised the turn?

Sorry, missed the heads up part. I think in this situation, calling is the best shot and then, of course, betting the river when your card comes.

Re: I can\'t win anymore

Are you tilting at the table (be honest with yourself)? Are you over/under playing his advice? Are you legitimately considering pot odds and implied odds when you bet and call? If you are following...

Re: Should I have re-raised the turn?

I believe that Sklansky advises to go ahead and reraise in this position. With a big pair and one of the suit on board, you are slightly ahead in this situation with plenty of outs.

Re: Automatic Card Shufflers

I concur with the previous post. Manual shuffling is much better for home games.

Re: Draw poker qualification

The method employed in my home game is as such:

1. Jacks or better to open, must show openers at the end of the round.

2. Splitting openers must be declared.

3. If you fold, you are out...

Re: Card Shufflin\'

For home poker, 3 shuffles should be enough for a guarantee. Otherwise, it slows the game down.

Re: ethics question

I think that since you are asking the question, you believe it to be unethical. I personally don't find it to be unethical. Warn the individual doing it and then feel free to look. It is the...

Re: AK Observation/Question

I would personally lean toward Cris's "if at all" statement for this hand. If there has been a 3xBB raise and 2-3 callers ahead of me, I will toss AK (unless it is suited) occasionally.

Re: Excessive profanity at the table

Swearing in front of women and children is unacceptable. I swear in front of my friends, but never in front of people I don't know.

Re: Joining the microlimits!

Hand 1

I think you are taking a risk with this hand. Microlimit players are as loose as it gets and unless the table is "tight" (which still means loose at this level), then you will be facing at...
