I am a crappy player. I win some, I lose some. I go through big swings. I will get on a roll with killer cards and make some money, but as soon as the cards quit coming, I lose back most of what I...

Re: Trouble With 9\'s

Re: Brunson \' quote about Sklansky
I disagree with the Tiger Woods/Barry Bonds analogy. This would be more like challenging the world's best 9-ball player to face off with the world's best 8-ball or snooker player. I am sure Sklansky...

Re: I can\'t win anymore
Are you tilting at the table (be honest with yourself)? Are you over/under playing his advice? Are you legitimately considering pot odds and implied odds when you bet and call? If you are following...

Re: Should I have re-raised the turn?
I believe that Sklansky advises to go ahead and reraise in this position. With a big pair and one of the suit on board, you are slightly ahead in this situation with plenty of outs.

Re: Draw poker qualification
The method employed in my home game is as such:
1. Jacks or better to open, must show openers at the end of the round.
2. Splitting openers must be declared.

Re: AK Observation/Question
I would personally lean toward Cris's "if at all" statement for this hand. If there has been a 3xBB raise and 2-3 callers ahead of me, I will toss AK (unless it is suited) occasionally.
