Re: turn spot
I think I 3 bet here and if he caps... call down unless diamond comes off... then lead/3bet the river.

Re: Break out the girdle?
Need to find one more raise on the turn or the river I think. I know his stats scream tight to you, but the way you played the hand on the flop you may have confused him. He could easily have a...

Re: putting a live hand together
It is true... people just try to give away their money in that game. I thought it was a fishing tale when a good friend told me that after returning from Canterbury in September. Guess...

Re: 44 hand
I like the flop play, and I like the river play as well. Only other options are to donk the turn and/or check call the river to induce a bluff from ace high. It would depend on how that game...

Re: KK vs a loose player 30/60
For a 30/15 LAG I think his range is much wider then the range you have provided. He could also play A-Js, A-Qs, J-J, and maybe even 10-10 this way as well. With this range included, I think it is...

Re: KK vs a loose player 30/60
Did you consider the player in question here is a 30/15 LAG? I think his range is much wider then the range you have provided. He could play A-Js, A-Qs, J-J, and maybe even 10-10 this way as well,...

Re: So I am a big wuss....
I don't like a cap preflop here at all. Unless you think the Original raiser will fold for 2 more, then it could be merited. The flop check is fine, as well as the turn check. However, betting the...

Re: 10/20 KJs
I don't like the river raise either.
The turn raise is important b/c it helps define the SB and the BB's hand. It also gives us a chance to isolate the chronic bluffer BB. As far as the outs...

I think a check on the end is standard as well. I don't bet here, when a bare A is all he needs to beat you. I think the previous streets are well played. However, the bet on the end here is not...

Re: party 15/30- folded QQ preflop
Tough spot. I would need a lot of history against the 20/9 player to justify this play. I know it feels dirty calling 4 cold preflop, but the pot is going to be big and you could very easily have...

Re: 10/20 KJs
I think you raise the turn to clean up your outs. Plus you have a big draw here and it makes the river play much easier b/c you have force the BB to define his hand on the turn. Also, in this...

I think a 3 bet is probably in order here. Do you have any history on the player in question? I think that if he flopped top pair here that he would have put action in on the flop. The 8 changes...

I have 2 explicit reasons to 3 bet the flop. Number one is that with the equity we have in the pot... ie. approx. 45% or so if our diamonds are good, it makes sense to get the money in now. When...

Re: Texas Holdem Hand
In the 1/2 game it is definitely a bad play. However, this was a 50/100 hand and in my experience that game is more passive then the 1/2. It plays fairly similar to the 30/60... not identical but...

Depending on the context of the game... you will get the volume to justify the limp to flop a set, occasionally. However, personally I wouldn't limp unless I have 2 limpers in front of me.

Re: Texas Holdem Hand

I think you are in big trouble here. If the BB is solid as you say... then I dont see him holding a hand you beat here. Preflop he has 1 of four hands (A-A,K-K,Q-Q, and A-K). Based on...
