Re: Top 2 Pair
Say, "NH". Note that player limped with TT. Move on to the next hand.

Re: Top 2 Pair
Dude, first of all, top 2 pair is NOT a weak hand. It is a very STRONG hand. Second of all, if you have NO READS, then you have no way to determine if villian limped with AJ, J9, KK, QQ, or TT,...

Re: Top 2 Pair
[ QUOTE ]
2 top pair is a weak hand as he might have 3 of a kind or a straight(/draw), both beat your hand. I would call his raise on the flop and probably check/fold 3/4 of the time on the 4th...

Re: Who played the hand the worst?
Do you still fold this PF from the BB if there are 1 or 2 other callers?
I did think about the CR on the flop, but I actually thought that the min-raise meant Ax. My plan was to let Villian bet...

Does PokerTracker's Tourney Time window work for SnGs? I have been able to get it to load.
Thanks

Re: Do you ever call this?
Yeah, I think it's a pretty easy call. If you don't already have the best hand, you easily could by showdown.

If I were the one with the draw in that hand, where the flop came up QT8, I would throw the cards away instantly unless I had AQ probably, or straight flush cards. I'm thinking of a likely...

Re: Should I have raised? #2
[ QUOTE ]
I guess the cumulative advice I'm distilling is to play them square and straight and be prepared to lose with them a hell of a lot, because that's what two pair will do in this situation....

This applies to those who play $50s and above. After doing some intuitive figuring, I think that each tourney will last about 5 or so hands longer. That's about 5 minutes. ...

I think someone needs to do the math on this, and I don't have the tools to do it.
What is the percentages that someone will call with a worse hand and lose?
What is the percentage that...

Doesn't your giving a free card on the flop basically give the opponent the very opportunity to beat you that you're worried about in the first place? If any of numerous draw cards comes...

Re: Should I have raised? #2
So, in short, you'd rather lose the majority of your chips and double your opponent when you're beat than to try to gather information to find out whether your beat or not?
If so, that doesn't...

Re: Good/Bad laydown?
I'm not a regular on the STT forum, although I've returned my focus to SnGs lately. That being said, I think this is VERY, VERY BAD, but maybe that's a leak in my game that I can't lay down AA?

It's not about running over or allowing yourself to be run over. I know it's been said time and time again. Tournament poker is about playing position and situations.
In this particular hand,...

Re: How do the experts play this?
Raising from the BB with such a mediocre hand as K9s is very, very BAD. You are way out of position, and you have the opportunity to close the action pre-flop. Why raise and give an opponent, who...
