Re: WSOP Hachem JJ Hand
[ QUOTE ]
Lets say Dannenman has AK and Hachem has JJ. He has a hand with legitimate showdown value and he does not want to give Dannenman two free cards to draw to 6 outs.

Re: WSOP Hachem JJ Hand
No, he doesn't cost himself anything, he gains a couple million because 1 person is eliminated.

Re: easy call?
3.5-1 if I counted right, I figured I was pretty much dominated. I know the basic concept of pot odds and all that, I am just trying to figure out when to put it to use. After the call I am still...

Re: WSOP Hachem JJ Hand
You check it down because, say if Tex had queens, Hachem bets out at the flop and third guy folds, turn is a 7, Hachem possibly costs himself a few million dollars.

easy call?
$5 tourney on UB. Initial re-raiser been playing tight, big stack caller i had good control over very loose/passive, pretty terrible overall. Second caller just added money to the pot.

Re: 7CSFAP - Starting Hands
[ QUOTE ]
For instance, if you have the low card, three or four people limp, a high card raises, and you have an ace high three-flush, reraise almost every time - especially if your cards are live....

Re: Folding aces on third (stud8)
I guess I just can't see seat 6 raising here with a low. His most probable hand to me is a large pair in the hole so going to war with him and splitting with the low (if it is made, if not...

Re: Folding aces on third (stud8)
Do you really put him on trips here? I would at least call down until his board gave me a reason to fold, if not re-raise to try and get it heads up with what seems like another big pair.

Re: Make a \"Hellmuthian\" Laydown?
Laying down kings pre-flop is just bad poker. Except for all but the most unusual circumstances. If you are against aces that sucks next tourney pls.

It is more likely that one of these two players, unknown UTG raiser, or SOLID TIGHT reraiser has a hand that is ahead of JJ, or it is very close to a coin flip.

Re: Johnny Chan story
Yes, I am saying he is so good he can do what he wants, If his reads are that crystal clear he is gonna have a decent read on you no matter what you do.

Re: Squeeze-ish Play... Any good?
I don't like it much, but depending on the buy in of the tourney, I could see utg raising with kq, kjs /images/graemlins/blush.gif , 10's - 7's, A10s.

Re: Aggro River Raise 20/40 PP
Would standard play for the SB be to check-raise the turn and lead on the river to get the hero off his what seems like a strong ace or a overpair?

Re: Could I have gone broke differently?
Just because it is a $200 live tourney means little. The play is about the same as your avg 5 or 10 dollar tourney on stars. I was in a 200 tourney last night and a guy in the small blind called my...

Situations like these are I think my biggest leak in MTT's. AQ/AJ and mid pockets are hard for me to play in early positions. In this situation I had been raising alot with good hands that were not...
