Re: Couldn\'t Lay Down AK - Was I Justified?
The time to fold your hand was on the flop I think, but whit no information whatsoever on the player, I understand it was a hard one to make. On the turn, Top trips whit live redraws is too appealing...

why are you involved with this hand anyway??

It was my 1st hand at the table. I posted in LP and the pot was limped, so I got to the flop for free.

Flop: Fold.
Pot odds aren't good, and buddy is either playing a draw of his own, to which you're possibly buggered if you hit, or has TP, which is going to get scared off my most cards...

I can't fault the play of the hand. I read it pretty much the way you do. I'd muck this kind of trash or bring it in for a raise. In MP I want to steal the Button.

Re: 25/50 Hand vs. Spirt Rock
You need to have a very strong read that he might put you on a bluff and call whit a marginal hand (like AJ) to make that push.
I really like riverboatking's analysis of the hand.

4 calls, including SB.
It's 3xBB to you for 21xBB. Basically 7:1 pot odds plus you are going to have position on the field post-flop (PF raiser on your...
