Why do we burn cards between betting rounds? My dad (who's in his 70s) asks me every weekend. Can anyone give me the answer?
My opinion is that the burn card started as a preventative card...

Playing AKo can be a beautiful thing, it just has to be played properly (bet it somewhat stong pre-flop) because you have to get the garbage hands out of the hand. Position is a factor but...
