Re: The Protected Pot Effect: A Study from 2/4

[ QUOTE ]
I know this is a tangent, but have people been in situations where a bluff can work against better players, because it is obviously protected?

Edit: This is mterry posting under a...

Re: A7soooooted. play along?

[ QUOTE ]
The game was actually very loose passive (something like 38/5), and A7s is much better than A2s.

Given that, I am inclined to play Axs from anywhere, just unfortunate that...

Re: AK UTG Late Stage of Tourney

[ QUOTE ]
How is just calling if you are staying in to the end. Why go all in and let him fold his worse A or his bluff? He is going to call only if he has the J. Call and let him bluff more...

Re: KJo- OOP

I think you should c/c the flop with the intention of c/r the turn should a blank drop. The button has already called 1 SB and will probably call another from your raise. MP1 will likely...

[ QUOTE ]
It’s 13-1 to call a check/raise on the river. I’d want a better read than, “not particularly aggressive” before I fold there.

This is a good reason why players...

Re: set K\'s and coordinated board on river

SB CRd the river, I thought for a moment and thought 2-pair was likely enough to make a crying call given the odds at that point. He showed QT for the str8 - bleh!

Re: Bodog 27+2 MTT: KK vs chip leader

not meant to be a bad beat; just wanting advice if I should have played more cautiously versus the loose guy who could bust me - thanks though for the advice that I should risk going broke on the hand

Yep, I would take the deal...

Re: Call off 1/4 my tall stack with AK vs. large overbet??

Seems to me that these donk-like moves are made with middle pairs and the knucklehead is too scared to play them on the flop if someone had called a more "standard" raise. So do you want to gamble...
