Re: never sure how to deal with this one
Here's the other two likely scenarios:
SB is 26/7/2.67 - VPIP/PFR/PFA
Flop: (6 SB) Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 6/images/graemlins/club.gif, 3/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players)
SB checks,...

Re: never sure how to deal with this one
That's my default until I know the opponent is passive. I was just wondering if it should be the other way around. Wait until he proves he'll bet draws and low pairs here before I start raising.

never sure how to deal with this one
Villian is a complete unknown, just sat down at the table. Should I raise this flop and get to showdown as cheaply as possible or just ditch it and wait for next time?

Re: wierd blind battle
Could just be a diamond. I think my line would be call the check raise, raise a non-diamond turn, and take the free show down. If he reraises or donks you at any point I'd be done with the hand. ...

Re: Is this insane?
It's bad, but with the size of the pot it's not that bad. I'm still folding this without thinking though. Even when he is bluffing all the way, you're going to see a better high card far too much....

Re: Best strategy against a bluffing maniac?
There's probably an exact equation for how many bets to go with any given holding (which would be intereting to see, because the size of you're bankroll is going to be a factor). But my first...

Have you tried citeseer (http://citeseer.ist.psu.edu/) yet? I just did a search on "Texas Hold'em" and came up with a lot of game theory and AI papers.

Re: Should I bet this river
You don't think 1 in 8 or 9 players is tricky enough to bluff this? I think the pot is big enough after a bet and a raise that I should be calling.

Re: Should I bet this river
I don't like the bet/fold with as weak a read as I have. I really don't know how tricky he is and the pot would be getting to a decent size at that point, so if I'm betting, I think it's a bet/call.

Should I bet this river
Villian is a little loose PF and very passive. I only had about 35 hands on him at the time, so it's not the strongest read ever.
After the turn, I put him on Ax, Kx or a pocket pair. I haven't...

Hey Qtip, if you saw the turn, could you post it? I think the action there would be really interesting too.

The villian in this one is 14.79/6.34/1.48/34.62 (VP$IP/PFR/AGG/WTSD) and the button hasn't been around long enough for me to know him.

If you mean what I think you mean by "amount you profit" and "amount you lose," then they're the same equatuon.
