JJ, KK on flop 3bet - Calldown?

No read, but the table had been pretty sensible through a couple rotations. I'm up a little, slightly wild image.

Re: TT and A3s against a TAG

You can bet or C/R the flop here. The most likely hand for him is AK, which you're significantly ahead of (7 outs and if he hits, you still have a good redraw redraw).

If he has AA, KK, or AQ,...

Paying off higher overpairs: A big leak for me

I tend to pay off higher overpairs when I have QQ or KK quite frequently.

Is this just a sad fact of life, or do I cut my losses after seeing heavy aggression preflop and then getting popped on...

Starting to think about CR\'ing when a made hand picks up a strong draw

I'm starting to think about when a made hand picks up a draw. In an example (real) hand below, I flop top pair and bet out to protect it. On the turn, I pick up a gutshot and a high 2 card flush...

Re: TT\'s hand of the day - a controversial one

I like this, but have three questions:

1) What stakes?
2) How many hands have you played with the villain? (ie: What is his perception of you?)
3) What's your plan UI if he smooth-calls the...

Re: KQs -- huge draw in huge pot misses on river -- what\'s my play?

One less player and you can take a stab if you're familiar with them. It only has to work a bit more than 5% to be profitable, especially since you have no showdown value.

That said, check and...

Re: Value raise a huge field preflop, get LRR\'ed and field cut down.

The river 3bet might've been too much.

My thoughts on the flop CR:
He LRRed me with:
AA
KK
AK
or
TRASH.

KTs on the button, top two on 4way flop.

I've been trying to find the balance between loosening up my starting hand selection and not becoming a LAG. I used to be a strict "raise or fold" guy preflop, with the occasional exception for a...

Re: New 3/6 tables: Better to post in cutoff or big blind?

Interesting about the hands/money ratio. Thank you.

The main thing that I wonder about is that having my blind money in the cutoff seems to be better since position is a large concern. I think...

New 3/6 tables: Better to post in cutoff or big blind?

On a 10-handed table, do you think it's more advantageous to post in the big blind and small blind or to post in the cutoff? I lean towards posting in the cutoff, myself.

One of the stranger hands for this table... (Low Content)

This table had been paying off like a slot machine. 4+ people preflop, almost all pots over 10 bb's and a few times approaching 20 bb's.
