Re: $55 NL, Folded AK preflop
I would definitely raise to about 350 so that you let him know that you have a hand and that way you might be able to take it way from him on the flop even if it misses you, and especially if you hit...

Playing AK in Rebuy Tourneys
I was playing in the PS $11R, 25K guaranteed today and came across two scenarios one with AKs and one with AKo.
First off, do you go all in with these hands in a rebuy tourney during the rebuy...

One Thread for WSOP is beyond lame.
Locking threads to force people over to one MAIN thread is really ludicrous. Does it really make sense to you that somebody should move to a different thread to talk about something started in...

Re: QQ in Big Blind
Given the read on this guy as being a solid player the odds of him having AA, KK, AK AQ are right up there.
Pushing preflop with your QQ is just a bad play. Why do you give the Late solid player...

Re: QQ in Big Blind
Overplaying QQ is a very big hole in a lot of people's games, and you might as well add AK to that mix.
When you have a lot of action in front of you from solid players reraising in this spot is a...

Re: Callin all in with 99?
(blind)
I think that I would lay this down in this situation. there are too many hands that have you beat and you have a decent stack still. There is no reason to get crazy with this hand.

Re: QQ in Big Blind
(blind response)
This is a situation where you should just call with your QQ. I think too many people are too aggressive with this hand and get run over by AA, KK.
What if you go all-in and...

Re: I\'ve never seen anything like this before...
that is amazing that everyone had clubs.
But the amazing thing to me is that you played this past the flop. I mean you don't have that great of a hand, yes a small pair that means nothing, and a...

How would you play this hand with big stack?
Low buy in. 1/2 field gone about 700 left. only hands I have show down have been top hands. I had won several hands recently so I just limped with AKs here. Normally I raise, but because I had...

Re: Why does this seem to always happen with AA?
thanks all. my thinking on bet sizes was that you are trying to get them to call while not giving them the correct odds for whatever they are drawing for, ie. theorem of poker, but for some reason...

Re: Got knocked out following HOH advice
I don't think it is a terrible move to just push all in with this hand and your position, but I don't think that it is the only play.
You say table was tight and you have an average stack. Well,...

Why does this seem to always happen with AA?
This type of hand seems to haunt with either KK
or AA for some reason. I called a hand where I thought I was beat and sure enough I was, but on this hand top pair and Nut flush draw this is a no...

Re: That one bad hand...
this is a perfect example of raising too much with a hand to accomplish what you want. The problem is you lose too much when you get called and lose, plus when you bet so much you almost guarantee...

Re: Rebuy
If I have around the average stack then I don't add on. I think you have to evaluate how you are doing and the table you are at. If I have a lot more chips than the average at my table I don't add...
